India–Israel relations refers to the bilateral ties between the Republic of India and the State of Israel. The two countries enjoy an extensive economic, military, and strategic relationship. India is the largest buyer of Israeli military equipment and Israel is the second-largest defence supplier to India after Russia. On a three-day bilateral visit to Israel, the first by an Indian premier, to celebrate 25 years of diplomatic relations and strengthen India’s already close ties with the Jewish nation.
Moreover, India and Israel have signed seven agreements in different sectors. It includes, space technology, agriculture and water conservation etc. Further, The 7 MoUs signed between India and Israel includes a bilateral Technology Innovation Fund worth $40 million for research in industrial development. The two countries also agreed to establish a “Strategic Partnership in Water and Agriculture” that will focus, among other areas, on water conservation and reuse of water for agriculture.
Netanyahu said, drawing a hearty laugh from PM Modi and a round of applause from the audience of mediapersons and diplomats.. India and Israel inked seven agreements in key sectors like space technology, agriculture and water conservation.
Israel is our friend and ally and we need to support it against terrorist entities like Hama’s which deny the right of Israel to exist and threaten holocaust on Israeli citizens.India is in a similar situation to Israel where we are sorrounded by unstable states and rouge terrorist country Pakistan.We need to expand our cooperation with Israel in def R&D so we have a def -industrial complex.We can give Israel access to the Indian Ocean for its Dolphin class submarines and provide strategic support in return for the support of the Jewish Lobby in Washington..

“India has suffered first hand the violence and hatred spread by terror, so has Israel. PM Netanyahu and I have agreed to do much more together to protect our strategic interests and also cooperate to fight growing radicalization,”

Besides this, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Israel Space Agency (ISA) will work together in the development of Atomic Clocks, GEO-LEO optical link, and in Electric Propulsion for small satellites.

The bonhomie between the two leaders was once again on full display, as they embraced each other and constantly referred to each other as “my friend”. When PM Narendra Modi invited Netanyahu to visit India, the Israeli premier readily accepted.
